I’m a writer of true fiction.
Fiction laced with heart, hard truths, and history. All fiction is rooted in truth—one cannot exist without the other.

Since childhood, I’ve been telling stories. Before I even knew how to write, I was building entire worlds in my head. I was that kid—the one who made up games, dragged others into long imagination sagas, and insisted on making it feel real.

In 3rd grade, my teacher Mr. Williams told me I’d be an author one day. Just like that, I made it my damn prophecy. And I never stopped. If there was no paper, no problem—into the mind-bank it went, where it cooked and stirred for years.

 

I moved around a lot growing up, which gave me access to all kinds of people, voices, and truths. Add that to being raised in New York back when it was rough, and yeah—I know how to hold my own. Humble beginnings. I didn't come from much. Those experiences, those people, and those environments show up in my work. Always.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing in 2007. I thought I’d follow the traditional publishing route right away, but life had a different plan. I’m an artist at my core—and I needed to live first. So I performed. I entertained. I created shows and taught classes. I lived out loud. 

But the stories never left. They waited. Every single day, they reminded me I had work to do.

One day, I looked at my wrist and said—“Shit, I never wrote those novels.” By then, the loudest SOB character in my head was screaming to get out. So I sat down and gutted myself like a fish. 

That first novel draft came out in seven months: 695 pages, 65 chapters, blood, sweat, and everything in between. It was a fictional story about overcoming more than you ever thought you could. And while that main character was learning to believe in himself, I was doing the same thing at my keyboard.

Since then, I’ve written two more novels. This is just the beginning for me.

Now I live here—behind this screen—writing with vengeance because I waited too damn long to begin. I’m querying agents, putting my work into the world, and finding my way as a writer.
